At the designated time, we'll meet at your hotel in Almaty to begin our walking tour of the city. Are you ready to discover the history of Kazakhstan's former capital?
Our first stop will be in the Zenkov Cathedral, located in Panfilov Park. This colorful wooden cathedral is one of the city's most important monuments. You'll admire its unique architecture, which was built without nails, and stroll through the peaceful surroundings of the park.
We'll then visit the Green Bazaar, a lively market where we'll see the local life and try traditional Kazakh cuisine. Fruit, nuts, dairy products, and typical dishes like kurt or baursak await!
Next, we'll head to Kok-Tobe Hill, the highest spot in the city. If you want, you can take a cable car ride to the top to enjoy Almaty's impressive scenic views or grab a drink at one of the cafés while taking in the sights.
Continuing our journey, we'll head to Republic Square, where we'll share the history of the city and country while admiring the Independence Monument, a symbol of the Kazakh Renaissance. Lastly, we'll take a walk on Arbat Street, a pedestrian area full of stores, cafés, and street art–an ideal spot to enjoy the local ambiance!
We'll conclude our tour and return to your hotel after approximately 6 hours.
