Visit the most symbolic sights found along Sardinia's coastline on our Alghero Bike Tour. We'll cycle around this beautiful place while riding along your chosen route.
Alghero Bike Tour
When making your booking, you'll be able to choose from the two routes described below. They both last 4 hours and include bike and helmet hire, an English-speaking guide, a snack and water.
Alghero Coast Tour
Our bike tour of Alghero's coast will begin with a cycle through the Porto Conte Regional Park, which stretches along the coastline of Sardinia. We'll cycle through this natural space and admire the greenery, natural caves and coves we come across.
With the Mediterranean in the background, we'll pause at some of Porto Conte's hidden beaches and see the remains of one of the largest military outposts from World War II. You'll see weapons, tunnels and even a bunker. We'll then climb up to a panoramic viewpoint to see the bay of Porto Conte and Capo Caccio before pedalling back to Alghero. When we arrive, we'll have a snack of some typical Sardinian products before saying our goodbyes.
Schedule: Tuesday to Sunday at 10 am and 4 pm.
Archaeology Tour
On this bike tour, we'll set off from the centre of Alghero and cycle to the Palmavera Complex, which dates back to the Bronze Age. We'll cycle through this complex of limestone and sandstone ashlar buildings, which are also known as nuraghes, and learn all about their different phases.
We'll also discover the purpose that each building had and the rituals that were carried out by the ancient civilization that once inhabited this complex, which was abandoned after a fire. After learning all about Palmavera, we'll return to the starting point to have a tasty snack of typical products.
Schedule: Tuesday to Friday at 9:30 am.
