Description
Meet us at the Alcocéber Tourism Office to kick off our exciting day trip to the Ebro Delta. Are you ready for a once-in-a-lifetime experience?
After a short one-hour boat ride we'll arrive at the Ebro Delta Natural Park, home to over 300 species of birds. We'll walk through the area and discuss the different key geological characteristics that make up the region.
No visit to the park would be complete without sharing some fun facts and curiosities! For example, did you know the Delta salt flats and fishing trades were the key economic components of the region prior to the arrival of the rice industry, in the second half of the 19th century? This is also Catalonia's most humid region!
Next, we'll end our day trip to the Ebro Delta, with a tranquil boat ride along the delta waters. As we sail along we can see Buda Island and the expansive rice fields that make up this region. Make sure to keep your eyes peeled, as we may spot some flamingos and seagulls too!
Finally, we'll make our way back to Alcocéber after 5 fun-filled hours of adventure.
