Why Visit the Spanish Motorcycle Museum?
The Spanish Motorcycle Museum (Museo de la Motocicleta Española) in Alcalá de Henares is found in the old perfume and soap factory from the GAL brand. Today, this museum houses one of the largest collections of motorcycles built in Spain.
With your ticket to the Spain Motorcycle Museum, you'll see over 300 motorcycle models from various brands. As you explore the exhibition, you'll discover everything from the first motorcycles made in Spain to the major brands that have dominated the roads.
After an approximately 15-minute introduction video, you'll enter the permanent collection. Here, you'll see the world's most important collection of Bultaco motorcycles, featuring around 180 motorcycles from the golden age of this iconic Spanish brand, spanning the 1960s to the 1980s.
Among the exhibition's standout models are a Patria 500 from the 1930s and a one-of-a-kind Bultaco Sherpa "Alpen Scooter." You'll also see a Bultaco Matador that crossed Africa from the Indian Ocean to the Atlantic in 1973. Another remarkable piece is a Bultaco Sherpa T 350, used by six friends in 1973 to climb Mount Everest, reaching an altitude of 1691 feet (5156 meters).
Other outstanding motorcycles in the collection are a Bultaco Frontera MK11, a Montesa Cappra 414, an OSSA Mick Andrews, and the Bultaco Metralla, among many unique two-wheeled gems.
