Tour of Algarve Wineries
Description
When booking, you can choose to visit 1 or 2 wineries in the Algarve. Both options include hotel pickup and drop-off, transport and an English-speaking guide.
Visit to 1 winery (4-5 hours)
We'll pick you up at your hotel at the indicated time to start this winery tour in the Algarve, in the south of Portugal.
Due to its climate being between the Mediterranean and Atlantic, and its clay soils, the Algarve's vines are protected from the cold north, which makes its wines very high quality. On the way to the winery, we'll make a brief stop in the village of Silves for a stroll through its charming cobbled streets.
We'll then visit the Quinta do Frances winery, where we'll see their facilities and learn how they make their wines, from the grapes to the glass. At the end of the visit, we'll do a tasting of 3 wines. We'll see how much you learned about them! After the tasting, you'll have some free time to explore the vineyards and visit the shop.
Visit to 2 wineries (7 hours)
After picking you up at the hotel, we'll head to the Paxa winery, where we'll take a tour first through the vineyards and then its facilities. This visit will be accompanied by a wine tasting with an aperitif that we'll have on its terrace overlooking the vineyards. You'll love it!
Afterwards, we'll head to the historic town of Silves, where you'll have 2 hours of free time to have lunch in one of its restaurants.
Once we meet again, we'll go to the Quinta do Frances winery, where we'll have a guided tour to discover the production process of their wines. After the tour, we'll have a tasting of 3 of the wines. You'll then have free time for a pleasant walk through the vineyards, to visit the shop and to take pictures.
