Description
At the indicated time, we'll meet at Piazza Garibaldi to start this free tour of Alba. Let's get to know all the secrets of the city of the hundred towers!
We'll begin our walk through the historic center of Alba by discovering some really curious facts about this land. Did you know that the emperor Pertinax was born here? During the tour, we'll admire the exterior of the medieval towers of Alba and the Cathedral of San Lorenzo, built between the 15th and 16th centuries. Not far from here, you'll see the church of La Magdalena, a true Baroque jewel that's sure to surprise you.
We'll also talk about the importance of wine and truffle culture in this Piedmontese town. In fact, one of the most important truffle fairs in Italy is held here every year.
