Aspendos Theater, Manavgat Waterfall & Side Tour
Between 8:30 and 9:30 am, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Alanya and head to our first stop of the day: the Aspendos Theater.
We'll visit this Greco-Roman masterpiece built during the reign of Marcus Aurelius and learn all about its history. It's one of the best-preserved theaters in the world and is famous for its interesting decorations and excellent acoustics.
Next, the tour will move on to a well-known jewelry shop where we'll find valuable goldsmith pieces. Afterward, we'll enjoy a delicious traditional meal consisting of a main course of meat or vegetables accompanied by rice.
After lunch, we'll go visit the Manavgat Waterfall, a 2-meter-high (6.5 feet) waterfall that stretches 40 meters (131 feet). This fall makes for the perfect photo, so get your camera ready!
Our final destination will be the ancient city of Side, which was established by Greek settlers back in the 7th century B.C. There, we'll find the Hellenistic gate, the agora square, and the Roman temple dedicated to the god Apollo. Did you know that this is believed to be the place where Mark Antony and Cleopatra first met?
Lastly, we'll head back to Alanya and drop you off at your hotel between 5.30 and 6.30 pm, ending the tour.
