Tour to Tayma
Tour to Tayma
Between 7 and 8 am, we'll pick you up at your hotel in Al-Ula and drive to the archaeological site of Tayma, a 2-hour drive away. You're about to visit one of the oldest human settlements in Saudi Arabia!
Before arriving at our destination, we'll make several stops so that you can visit on your own the most famous monuments along this route, such as Bir Haddaj, the largest water well in the country. You'll also be able to see the palaces of Al Ridham and Al Hamra.
Once we've arrived in Tayma, we'll take you to one of its most characteristic places: the walls. Did you know that they date back to the 7th century B.C.? This settlement was a very prosperous place due to its location in the middle of an extensive oasis and as a connection of numerous trade routes.
After marveling at the walls of Tayma, we'll take you to a restaurant where you can have a delicious lunch consisting of different delicacies of Saudi gastronomy.
The next stop of the day will be at the ruins of the Qasr Al Romman palace, which once belonged to a family of Tayma governors. Then, to further explore the history of this ancient city, we'll take you to the Al Fajr Museum, filled with artifacts from this site!
Finally, we'll end the excursion between 4 and 5 pm and drop you back off at your hotel.
