Discover one of the largest coral reefs in the world and the true Mexican Caribbean, with this tour of Isla Contoy and Isla Mujeres from Riviera Maya. The beauty of its white beaches and crystal clear waters awaits you!

Description

After picking you up from your Riviera Maya hotel between 6:20 and 6:45 am, we'll take you to Cancun port where we'll have a small breakfast. Next, we'll get a boat to Isla Contoy, the last virgin island in the Mexican Caribbean.

The tour begins with a walk through the Isla Contoy National Park where we'll admire the different species of protected birds and animals as well as the beautiful beaches.

Next, we'll go snorkeling in one of the largest coral reefs in the world and swim past the tropical fish that live in these waters.  Please note that this activity is subject to weather conditions.

After snorkeling, we'll stop to have lunch with grilled fish and chicken, and a traditional Mexican side dish.

Then we'll get on the boat and go to Isla Mujeres, one of the most touristic spots in Mexico. There, you'll have an hour of free time to explore this little slice of paradise.

Finally, we'll sail back to the port of Cancun. From there we'll leave by road to return to your hotel, arriving after a total of 10 hours.

Isla contoy me encantó. Isla mujeres me gustó menos. Translate this opinion into English. I loved Isla Contoy. It is a unique natural reserve that I will remember for the rest of my life. The beach with white sand, the turquoise blue sea, the birds like frigates, the osprey, the pelicans... the boat trip with the rough sea... an unforgettable experience. I liked Isla Mujeres less. It is party tourism. However, I liked walking along the main street with all the colorful little shops and having an ice cream. Opinion translated. Show original. Show more

Translate this opinion into English. Show more

Both the activity and the guides were excellent. The guides were attentive and concerned to make us feel comfortable. The food service was excellent. They also offered us a snack for those of us who had gotten up very early. The excursion is worth it and I would do it again. Opinion translated. Show original. Show more

Translate this opinion into English. Show more

We had a great time. Susana and Fernando are great professionals, they explain everything very well, they are very attentive and fun. Isla Contoy is spectacular, a virgin and beautiful island. I didn't do the snorkeling activity because I don't have experience, but the people who did had a great time. Then we went to Isla Mujeres, it has nothing to do with Contoy, in this case it is crowded and with a lot of tourism. The food was made for us by the crew and it was very, very good. I recommend it 100%. Opinion translated. Show original. Show more

Translate this opinion into English. Show more

The guide Fernando was great and his friends too, super attentive in everything. The excursion is well worth it. You can go to Isla Mujeres first (which is better because there are less people) then half an hour of snorkeling in the middle of the sea, very cool and then Contoy, all super unspoiled. They take you to a palapa where you eat very well, there are hermit crabs and iguanas everywhere. Then on the beach we saw a manta ray, starfish, snails and a turtle. Boat ride back with music and beer on board. The best tour! Opinion translated. Show original. Show more

Actividad muy recomendable Translate this opinion into English. Show more

Contoy Island is very pretty and you can see the "two seas". The food was very good but there was little variety, however, we were offered drinks throughout the excursion. We found the snorkelling time to be very limited. We found Isla Mujeres to be too touristy. Both the guides and the crew were very good, very lively (Montse and Marek). A highly recommended activity.
