Aix-en-Provence Private Tour
Are you ready to explore every corner of Aix-en-Provence's historic centre? We'll meet at the time of your choice at your hotel or at the Place de la Rotonde, as you prefer, to begin.
During the tour, we'll pass by the Fontaine de la Rotonde, crowned by three female sculptures which each represent different important symbols: justice, looking towards Cours Mirabeau; agriculture, looking towards Marseille; and fine arts, looking towards Avignon. We'll also pass by the Paul Cézanne sculpture, one of Aix-en-Provence's most famous figures and one of the fathers of modern painting.
The tour will then step back in time, specifically to the 18th century, walking along the Cours Mirabeau, an avenue where the city's gentry used to meet. We'll find out more as we admire the impressive facades and then head to the Four Dolphins fountain.
We'll also visit the church of Saint Jean de Malte, Roman remains which date back 2000 years old, the church of the Madeleine and the Town Hall. During that time, we'll uncover the secrets and legends that have marked the history of Aix-en-Provence.
The tour will end after three hours by the cathedral of Saint Sauveur or at any other central point you wish.
