Description
We'll meet at the designated time at the Aix-en-Provence tourist office and head northwest to Les Baux de Provence, just one hour away.
On arrival, you'll have the opportunity to stroll freely through this medieval village in the Alpilles mountain range. The view from its castle will leave you in awe! The tour will continue to Pont du Gard, a Roman aqueduct that has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We'll take some time to admire it's stunning exterior.
Half an hour away, Avignon awaits us. Here you'll have free time for lunch and, if you wish, a visit to the Papal Palace and the famous Avignon Bridge, among other must-see sights of the town.
Afterwards, we'll enjoy a panoramic tour of Châteauneuf du Pape, contemplating its stone houses and 800-year-old castle. You'll also visit a local winery to experience a wine tasting. Cheers!
The tour will end at the starting point in Aix-en-Provence after a total of 9.5 hours.
