Toro Albala Winery Guided Tour

At the indicated time, we'll at Avenida Antonio Sánchez, ready to tour one of its main wine tourism centres: the Toro Albala winery. We'll begin the day with a tour of its state-of-the-art facilities which date back to 1922.

Next, we'll learn how the vines are cultivated and treated and all about the special grape process to obtain the best crops in order to produce a sweet wine of the highest quality.

We'll also observe the so-called aerial or hanging cellar. Here you'll be able to see various signatures of illustrious figures who have visited the winery over the years, including, Gregorio Marañón, Calvo Sotelo, the Duchess of Alba and Queipo de Llano.

To complete the visit, we'll see how old agricultural materials were used. These pieces are displayed in a museum that has been curated by the Toro Albalá family for generations. The exhibition also houses lots of other fascinating artifacts. Next, we'll go to the craft workshop to see the labelling, sealing and packaging of Toro Albalá bottles.

Finally, we'll enjoy a tasting of 3 local wines and 2 exclusive traditionally produced vinegar. We'll end the activity after 1 hour of touring.
