Águeda Free Tour
We'll meet at 10:30 am at Largo Dr. Elísio Sucena where we'll begin our free tour of Águeda by enjoying views of the beautiful river that runs through the city.
Then we'll set off on our tour through the streets of Águeda as we find out interesting facts about its history. We'll find out about the Celts and Greeks in the 4th century B.C., how they were linked to the Way of Saint James and the role these lands played during the Napoleonic invasion.
On our tour of the city, we'll get to admire iconic buildings such as the Santa Eulalia Church, the São Pedro Chapel, the Town Hall and much more. We'll also discover what the picotas are and what they symbolise!
What's more, as we explore we'll get to marvel at Águeda's impressive urban art! Get your cameras ready!
The tour will end back at the starting point at 12 pm.
