San José de Gracia & Casa Leal Vineyards Tour
San José de Gracia & Casa Leal Vineyards Tour
We'll pick you up from your hotel in Aguascalientes at 10 am and head to Casa Leal Vineyards, located just outside the town.
Upon arrival, we'll take a guided tour of the winery while learning how grapes are grown and harvested here. We'll then enter the crushing, fermentation, resting and ageing area to discover all there is to know about wine production in the area. At the end of the vineyard tour, we'll enjoy a glass of wine accompanied by cheeses from the region.
We'll then make our way to San José de Gracia, one of Mexico's Magical Towns. There, we'll go to the Presidente Calles Dam for a boat trip to the island where the Statue of the Broken Christ is located. This 25-metre high figure made of concrete and steel represents the sick and oppressed.
Afterwards, we'll return to San José to discover its typical handicrafts and its famous clay pineapples. We'll also get to see the reservoir's floodgates as well as admiring the extraordinary panoramic views from the El Jocoqui Dam viewpoint. Forests of pines, evergreen oaks and subtropical shrubland await!
Finally, we'll return to your hotel in Aguascalientes, where we'll arrive at 2 pm.
