Calvillo Day Trip
Calvillo Day Trip
At 10 am, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Aguascalientes and head towards the Magical Town of Calvillo.
After a 45-minute drive, we'll arrive at our destination and enter a guava candy workshop, where we'll learn how this delicious delicacy is made and enjoy tasting it too. Did you know that the guava from this area is the sweetest in Mexico? This is due to the richness of the land and the work of its farmers.
We'll then stroll through the historic centre of Calvillo to see the main square, the Municipal Palace and the Church of Señor Salitre, a neoclassical building built in 1772. We'll also get to admire the pink façade of the Sanctuary of the Virgin of Guadalupe.
We'll get to taste a traditional fruit ice treat, before heading to some of the town's embroidery, weaving, organic jewellery and leather workshops, where we'll talk about the importance of craftsmanship in Calvillo.
We'll conclude the excursion back at your hotel in Aguascalientes at 3 pm.
