We'll meet up at the time of your choice at the Aguas Calientes train station and take the bus to Machu Picchu, where we'll take a guided tour of the iconic ruins. Did you know that it was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1981?
After a journey of 30 to 45 minutes, we'll reach more than 7874 feet (2400 meters) of altitude and the stunning lost city of the Incas will appear before our eyes, deep in the heart of the Andes.
We'll enter the enormous enclosure, which extends over an area of almost 92200 acres (37302 hectares) and has been registered as one of the Seven Wonders of the Modern World. We will begin a 2.5 to 3-hour guided tour to learn all about the history of the city. According to the legend, this place was the residence of Pachacútec, the ninth sovereign of the Inca Empire. We'll also hear many other fascinating facts and stories about this famous location.
As the tour progresses, you'll realize exactly why this is one of the most popular tourist attractions in the world. It'll be an experience you'll never forget! We will stroll through the streets and passages of each of the 60 monuments that surround the main square of Machu Picchu.
Our tour will finish and we'll return by minibus to the starting point, where we'll say our goodbyes after this 4 to 4 hours and 15-minute adventure.
