Discover the history of the legendary city of Essaouira on this day trip from Agadir - it'll be an experience you'll never forget!
Essaouira Day Trip
We'll pick you up at 7:30 am at your hotel or riad in Agadir, and hit the road north towards Essaouira.
Along the way, we'll see spectacular beaches, pass by the sumptuous palace of a Saudi prince, and through very scenic towns. After a three-hour drive, we'll arrive in Essaouira, one of the most visited cities on the Atlantic coast of Morocco.
Once at our destination, we'll go on a tour of the port of Bab el-Marsa and the Medina of Essaouira, declared a World Heritage Site due to its exceptional monumental value. We'll check out its set of walls, known as Skala, as well as the gates that lead to the passage around the entire perimeter of the citadel.
During the tour of the market, we'll also see the stalls of its cabinetmakers and marquetry artists. We'll also stop at the cooperative of women who produce argan oil.
After the tour of the oldest part of the city, you'll have free time to stroll at your own leisure and have lunch. We recommend sampling the fresh fish dishes of Essaouira - the traditional Moroccan cuisine will win over your palate forever!
Finally, in the afternoon, you'll return to your accommodation in Agadir, arriving at 7:30 pm.
