Abisko National Park Hiking Tour
Abisko National Park Hiking Tour
At the scheduled time, we'll pick you up from your hotel to start a hiking tour and enjoy the arctic nature of the Abisko National Park!
Our hike will take us 4 to 5 kilometers (2 to 3 miles) into the landscapes of northern Sweden. We'll take the trail along the Abisko river canyon while looking out over a birch forest - the views of the Abisko river delta are breathtaking!
Next, we'll continue walking surrounded by the high mountain peaks of the area until we reach the incredible Torneträsk Lake. Did you know that it is one of the largest lakes in the country? On its shores, we'll tell you about the indigenous peoples of this region and what it's like to live in the Arctic.
If luck is on our side, we might get a chance to see some of the animals native to this part of Lapland. We'll see reindeer, mountain hares, foxes, a variety of birds, and of course the majestic Scandinavian moose - cameras at the ready!
After two hours of hiking, we'll leave Abisko National Park and return to the starting point.
