Rías Baixas Day Trip
Rías Baixas Day Trip
At the indicated time we'll meet in the Praza de Pontevedra, in the centre of A Coruña, ready to start our complete tour of the Rías Baixas, the four estuaries on Galicia's southwestern coast.
Our first stop will be in Combarro, one of the most beautiful towns in the Rías Baixas. We'll walk through the cobbled streets of this seaside town to learn all about its history and famous granaries.
After exploring Combarro, we'll make our way to an Albariño winery to sample this delicious wine. We'll learn all about this drink and taste 3 wines.
Next, we'll head to the island of La Toxa, famous for its historic soap factories and an intriguing scallop shell-covered chapel. Did you know that one of the most important thermal spas in Galicia is located here?
From here, we'll set off for El Grove. Here, we'll set sail for a boat trip on the Arousa estuary. During the cruise, we'll learn what mussel rafts are and how important they are in this area, as well as having the opportunity to taste some delicious local wine and mussels.
Once we're back on dry land, we'll round off our day trip to the Rías Baixas by visiting Pontevedra, where we'll take a guided tour of the city's historic centre. Together with the guide, we'll discover emblematic places including the Pilgrim Chapel and the ruins of San Domingo.
It'll then be time to return to A Coruña and drop you off at the starting point after 10 hours 30 minutes of fun.
