Nepal Hiking Day Trip

When booking, you'll be able to choose between three different options for your hike. All of them include pickup and drop off at your hotel in Kathmandu, transportation in a 4x4 vehicle, and an English-speaking guide exclusively for you. Below, you'll find the details of each itinerary:

Trekking in Tare Bhir

At 8 am we'll head to the Kathmandu Valley, specifically to the village of Budanilkantha. Once there, we'll start a 10 km (6.2 mi) hiking route to explore the area of Tare Bhir, a place full of unique vegetation and where some of the most interesting birds in Nepal live.

The route will take us to some spectacular scenic lookout areas from where we'll have panoramic views of Kathmandu and the valley - they'll leave you speechless! Finally, we'll return to the starting point in Budanilkantha and take you back to your hotel at 1 pm.

Trekking in Budanilkantha

We'll pick you up at your hotel at 8 am and travel to Budanilkantha which, just like the previous itinerary, is the starting point of this hiking trail. We'll walk through the Kathmandu valley until we reach Jamchen Vijaya Stupa, a breathtaking Buddhist temple located at the top of Budanilkantha Hill.

In addition to enjoying this beautiful place of worship, we'll visit the Krishna Mandir temple and a few traditional villages, and experience magnificent natural landscapes. Finally, we'll return to the starting point after about five hours of trekking.

Trekking in Shivapuri Nagarjun

After picking you up at your hotel, we'll go directly to Shivapuri Nagarjun National Park. During the hike, we'll point out the location of the three main Himalayan peaks which we'll see on the horizon: Annapurna, Manaslu, and Ganesh.

This hiking tour will also allow us to admire the waterfalls and forests of Shivapuri Nagarjun, where we'll observe various examples of Nepalese wildlife such as monkeys, deer, and a wide variety of native birds.

We'll end the tour back at your hotel in Kathmandu.
