Chandragiri Cable Car
Chandragiri Cable Car
We'll pick you up from your hotel in Kathmandu at the appointed time. From there, we'll set off on an excursion to the famous Chandragiri Hills cable car for the best panoramic view of the Himalayas.
After introductions, we'll board a vehicle and make our way to the base of the Chandragiri Hills. After a half-hour drive through the southwestern side of the Thamel district, we'll arrive at the station to board the cable car and begin the ascent to a towering altitude of 8,366 feet (2,551 meters).
During the ride, we'll take in views of the surrounding hills and, of course, Mount Everest, the world's highest peak. You won't believe your eyes!
Thanks to the cable car windows, you'll be able to relax and admire the snow-capped peaks of the Himalayas. On clear days, you can even see 5 of the 14 highest peaks on the planet!
Once at the top, you'll have an hour and a half of free time to have lunch and visit a Hindu temple. Did you know that, in addition to its views, Chandragiri is famous for its sacredness? Every day there are faithful Hindus who make a pilgrimage to the top.
After four hours of being fascinated by the views of the Himalayas, we'll end this experience by returning to your hotel in Kathmandu.
