And just like that, 2024 has come to an end and it’s time to start putting together travel plans in the new year. For us, February is one of the best months to enjoy a vacation—when you’re battling the post-holiday blues in January, it’s great to have a trip just around the corner to look forward to. What’s more, being the low season in lots of destinations, you’re also likely to enjoy slightly cheaper travel and accommodation expenses, making it all the sweeter! Today at Civitatis, we’re looking at the best places to travel in February 2025, so strap in!
1. Venice – Celebrate Carnival
Any time of the year is amazing, but visiting Venice in February is extra special for one reason in particular: Carnival. During this celebration, which is said to date back to the 12th century, the Floating City is rife with extravagant masked processions, parades, and private parties. Welcome to Sin City! In February, you can enjoy Vegas at its very best. There are fewer crowds and generally lovely dry and sunny weather during the day, hovering around 59-66°F (15-19°C)—but be warned that the temperature drops at night! Moreover, being in the low season, flights and accommodation should be of good value.
When you get there, try your luck at the city’s world-famous casinos and year-round and star-studded entertainment.
