The Natural Park is home to tonnes of plants and wildlife which makes it an ideal spot to do some bird watching in the Region of Valencia.

Serra de Irta Natural Park

Heading north of the city of Valencia this time, we’ll find the town of Alcossebre nestled on the rocky coastline. This village is home to the Serra de Irta Natural Park and Marine Reserve, a treasure waiting to be explored. With clear turquoise waters, sandy beaches, and diverse marine life, this protected area promises plenty of peace and adventure. Dive into the depths of the Mediterranean Sea to spot vibrant coral reefs and fascinating sea life. Don’t forget your snorkel! You can also relax on secluded beaches surrounded by wilderness.

Cathedral of Valencia

Fallas

Last but certainly not least is Valencia’s largest and most firey cultural event! If you’re in the region in March, don’t miss out on this vibrant street party. The Fallas de València is an internationally renowned festival that never fails to impress. Gaze at the huge sculptures, known as fallas, displayed on the streets before they’re set ablaze. Every day during the weeks of fallas, there is a mascletà in the Plaza del Ayuntamiento at 2 pm, an incredible 10-minute display of firecrackers and fireworks.
